The Better Learning Podcast is about improving education at all levels - Schools (public, charter, private, independent), Higher Education, & Corporate/Adult Learning. The major theme is to break down the silos and learn from others doing innovative things in education. We highlight innovative programs & initiatives, lessons learned, improvements to educational space, and real-world tactics while getting a deeper understanding of the people behind the innovation. Our guests include Heads of Schools, Superintendents, Principals, Entrepreneurs, Non-profit leaders and other innovators. Hosted by Kevin Stoller, CEO of & author of Creating Better Learning Environments.

Welcome to Season 5 of the Better Learning Podcast! We've got a terrific guest kicking off our new season - Carmelo Piazza has been teaching science for almost two decades, including a 16 year stint at Brooklyn's PS 261 where he taught students that aged from 4 through 11. Carmelo is also the author of Crazy for Science with Carmelo the Science Fellow that takes a dive into at-home science experiments that focus on scientific observation, exploration, and analysis for children of a young age. He also opened the Brooklyn Preschool of Science in Cobble Hill back in 2013 that gives children a place to grow, play, and learn through hands-on, inquiry-based science. Thank you to Carmelo Piazza for having an open, honest conversation about being a school leader in today's environment.
